Instructions & usage

Explore water cycle with three printable activities: a picture-labelling sheet, a maze and a word search. Each has a separate answer sheet. Choose A4 or US Letter files to match your paper.

At home

Start with the labelled pictures and talk through the words together. Complete the puzzle activities afterwards, then ask your child to explain one idea using the pictures. Explain which picture shows rain and which shows invisible water vapour.

In the classroom

Use the labelling sheet with a short topic introduction, then offer the maze or word search as a partner activity. Keep answer sheets separate for checking and invite learners to explain their choices. The maze is a themed puzzle, not a scientific model.

Science notes

Evaporation changes liquid water into water vapour, an invisible gas. Condensation makes liquid droplets. Precipitation falls; water can collect in lakes. Arrows and large drops are symbols; the full water cycle has more processes.

Background reference: Read the topic reference. All worksheet artwork and puzzles are original.
