Instructions & usage
Explore sun, earth and moon with three printable activities: a picture-labelling sheet, a maze and a word search. Each has a separate answer sheet. Choose A4 or US Letter files to match your paper.
At home
Start with the labelled pictures and talk through the words together. Complete the puzzle activities afterwards, then ask your child to explain one idea using the pictures. Explain which object is a star, a planet and a natural satellite.
In the classroom
Use the labelling sheet with a short topic introduction, then offer the maze or word search as a partner activity. Keep answer sheets separate for checking and invite learners to explain their choices. The maze is a themed puzzle, not a scientific model.
Science notes
The Sun is a star. Earth is a planet that orbits the Sun. The Moon is Earth's natural satellite and orbits Earth. Objects, positions and distances are NOT TO SCALE. Do not look at the Sun.
Background reference: Read the topic reference. All worksheet artwork and puzzles are original.
