Instructions & usage
Plan a learning session in three steps: choose a question, explore it and reflect. This is an open-ended planner rather than a historical sequence.
How to use
Choose A4 or US Letter and print one test copy at 100%. Learner sheets and helper sheets are separate downloads, so you can choose only the files you need. Use a pencil; add colouring pencils for illustrated activities. For cutting activities, offer adult help or pre-cut pieces.
Teaching and family notes
Calm remembrance and vocabulary activities; offer children a choice about discussing war. Use Australian War Memorial guidance, with no competitive war play.
What you’ll need
Paper, pencil and colouring pencils; adult cutting help for cut-out activities.
Make the most of it
Choose A4 or US Letter. Print helper sheets separately. See the resource notes for occasion-specific guidance.
Printing tips
Check the file’s paper size and print one test page. Choose “fit” if edges are clipped.
