Instructions & usage
Make a fold and build lighthouse for your Light Party. Prepare one sample tower so children can see how four panels meet. This moderate activity takes about 30 minutes; allow extra time for glue to dry.
Make your fold and build lighthouse
- Colour the four lighthouse wall panels before cutting.
- Cut the long body strip and the separate square roof cap, keeping all glue tabs.
- Fold the body at each dashed panel line and at the seam tab.
- Glue the seam tab behind the first panel to make an open-bottom square tower.
- Fold the roof tabs down and glue them inside the tower top. Stand the paper lighthouse on a flat table; it is not a light fitting.
Safety and adult help
Adults supervise cutting and check the tabs. No flames, electrical parts or loose batteries go inside the paper tower.
For younger children
An adult can prepare the outer shapes and any inner openings before the party. Let children decorate and join the larger pieces with help. Use the completed assembly sketch on the instruction sheet as a guide.
Four 38 × 90 mm walls plus a 10 mm seam tab; roof has a 38 mm square centre and four 10 mm tabs.
Printing and use
Choose the matching A4 or US Letter version. Print one test copy; crafts must be printed at actual size (100%). Adult help is needed for scissors and small parts. General activities can run alongside a clearly labelled optional Christian session.
What you’ll need
