Instructions & usage
Find the Missing Star is a 15-minute activity for 2–12 players, suggested for ages 4–10. Prepare the printable pieces in about 5 minutes.
How to play
Cut the six patterned star cards and place all six on the mat. Look together, then everyone turns away while the host removes one card. Turn back and name the missing pattern. Rotate the host and reset all six cards each round.
Prepare the game
Printed sheets, pencils, paper markers; adult scissors for cut-out cards.
Easier version
Use three cards and leave the other patterns visible.
Harder version
Remove two cards or swap two positions and describe what changed.
For a larger group
Make supervised groups of four to six, with a full play set and a helper or reader for each group. Rotate turns and offer a seated or quiet option.
Where to play
Indoors; outdoor use only in a supervised bounded area with dry paper and suitable weather.
Printing and use
Choose the matching A4 or US Letter version. Print one test copy; crafts must be printed at actual size (100%). Adult help is needed for scissors and small parts. General activities can run alongside a clearly labelled optional Christian session.
What you’ll need

Make the most of it
Choose a quiet or seated alternative when helpful.
Printing tips
Check the file’s paper size and print one test page. For craft templates choose actual size (100%) and measure the 10 mm scale check. Use the matching A4 or Letter file. Keep answer sheets separate.
