Instructions & usage
Every shape has its own value. Capture shapes and keep track of your score.
Shape Capture is a shared-sheet game for two players. Add your shape values. Highest total wins; a tie is a draw.
Players: 2 · Time: about 10 minutes · Equipment: Pencils.
How to play
- Share the grid. A uses X; B uses O. Take turns claiming a cell.
- Score its printed shape: circle 1, triangle 2, square 3.
- After your first claim, your next cell must share an EDGE with one you own.
- If you have no legal cell, pass. Stop after both pass or grid is full.
- Add your shape values. Highest total wins; a tie is a draw.

At home and in the classroom
Print one sheet per pair and agree who starts before playing. Read the example aloud, then let the pair check the printed rules when needed. Ask players to explain one choice they made. Taking turns and following a shared rule are part of the activity.
