Instructions & usage
Two number bingo boards with countable pictures above each number, the original addition call list and shared-win rules. A4 and US Letter files.
Maths Bingo is a shared-sheet game for two players. If both complete a line on the same call, both win. If calls end, draw.
Players: 2 · Time: about 10 minutes · Equipment: Pencils.
How to play
- Share the sheet: each player uses their own board.
- Take turns choosing an unused problem from the numbered call list.
- Say the answer. BOTH players cross that answer on their own board.
- After a call, a complete row, column or diagonal wins.
- If both complete a line on the same call, both win. If calls end, draw.
Example of a turn
If the problem is 2 + 3, both players cross out their 5.
Scoring and finishing
After a call, a complete row, column or diagonal wins. If both complete a line on the same call, both win. If calls end, draw.
At home and in the classroom
Print one sheet per pair and agree who starts before playing. Read the example aloud, then let the pair check the printed rules when needed. Use the number choices to practise explaining a calculation, rather than rewarding speed alone.
